This garden was designed and planted last year. Its amazing how well everything has grown. My clients were keen to have an area of the garden where they could escape. They wanted a natural look with plants that attract bees and butterflies.
Oak sleepers were used to form the decking. They provide the perfect rustic surface to walk through the planting. Plants include salvia caradonna, calamagrostis karl forester, veronicastrum alba and Helenium moorheim beauty. ” areas to sit, in sun and shade means this part of the garden is now used more than any other. The corten steel fire bowl is great for giving warmth in the evning.
Seasonally the interest starts with Tulips, then the alliums and flowering perennials appear. in the height of the summer Hydrangea limelight, Eupatorium and verbena take center stage. Moving into autumn the grasses turn on their best show with varieties of miscanthus, molinia, panicum and calamagrostis giving movement and autumn colour. This continues into winter as well.
